Main Article Content
Abstract
Lymphogranuloma venereum (LGV) or Nicolas and Favre's disease is a rare sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by Chlamydia trachomatis serovar L1, L2 and L3. We report a first case of LGV in the Dermatology Department of the National Center for Disease Control in a heterosexual subject presenting on clinical examination an elephantiasis hypertrophy of the scrotum and the penis associated with fistulas. The diagnosis of LGV was made in front of the clinic and confirmed by chlamydial serology. Antibiotic therapy was instituted (Doxycycline then Azythromycin), resulting in a progressive regression of symptoms in 4 months
